With a change in regulations in 2006 the person responsible for a building is responsible for the safety of the people within it. If there is a fire and you are the building representative it is up to you to make sure you have all the necessary safety measures in place.

Floorplans can play a key role in evacuation but are often out of date, poorly drawn and unclear. We can create accurate up to date and above all clear to read plans in case of emergency. With the use of our Glowplan technology we can create plans that are white backed by day but with a glow in the dark pigment that gives up to 12hrs glow time in the dark. This technology helps corridors and exits become much easier to read, even if your back up lighting is impaired due to smoke or faults.

Who is responsible?

As building manager its your responsibility for the safety of people in your building.

It is common for small and medium sized businesses to try and avoid professional fire plans for their buildings. In our experience we have seen some truly awful attempts, hand drawn, windows and doors missing. We have even seen a bedroom door to a dead end listed as a fire escape door. In the event of anyone (including the fire brigade) needing to evacuate your building plans are key to making sure all floors and rooms have been checked and secured.
